Welcome to Our Blog

Hello! Welcome to the Black-Owned CT Blog. We are so happy that you have found us.

About Us:

This blog and website comes out of Fairfield University's Black Lives Matter course. The Fairfield University Black Lives Matter course has an activism component of the course in which groups of students are required to create a project to express their activism in the Black Lives Matter movement. Although this is a project, we hope that this project lives on and is able to help aid the Black community of Fairfield County, CT in the near and far future. This blog and website is run by Elena Galligan, Serena Eldredge, Sebi Michel, and Olivia Mahoney.

Our Mission

The mission of this blog is to promote the Black-owned restaurants of the community and provide awareness to the Fairfield County and greater Connecticut citizens. We also hope that the students of Fairfield University use this website as a guide to become allies and supporters of the small Black-owned businesses and restaurants within the area.

What To Expect From The Blog:

- Food reviews/food critic posts

- Restaurant story features

- Recommendations

- Guides for how to support Black-owned restaurants

Stay tuned for great things to come. We appreciate your willingness to support our activism project. Be sure to share our page with your friends, families, and colleagues!
